About Us
Karen Murphy, designer and baker, graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Literature. Later she received a Paralegal Studies Post Graduate Certificate from Montclair University.
As many dreams do, Karen's Kakery started as a hobby. Working full time as a corporate paralegal, cake decorating became an artistic outlet for Karen's creativity. As a young girl, baking and drawing were two of her favorite pass times. Through cake designing Karen brought her two passions into one. A special cake for a her husband's birthday became an instant hit and luckily the cake orders never stopped!
